This season, FAI heritage sites are hosting three exhibitions by artists of international acclaim: Leandro Erlich at Negozio Olivetti in Venice, Josef Albers at Villa e Collezione Panza in Varese, and Piero Portaluppi at Villa Necchi Campiglio in Milan. Don't miss the chance to be surprised!

Venice – Leandro Erlich

At Negozio Olivetti in Piazza San Marco, until November 22, 2026, the exhibition Hybrids presents twenty sculptures by the Argentine artist, some never shown before: butterflies with ear-wings, cabbages that become architecture, corals that take on the shape of cities, trees ending in human feet. Impossible forms, yet strangely familiar — suggesting that art is not a mere ornament of the world, but a force that continues its creation, operating on the same level as the evolutionary processes that have shaped the planet. The world that emerges from Erlich's work is an ecosystem in constant readjustment, where irony and play between nature, culture, architecture and the body merge into a single dynamic: each sculpture tells an intimate metamorphosis, the "hidden physiology" behind every authentic creative act.

Varese – Josef Albers

Until January 10, 2027, Villa e Collezione Panza hosts Josef Albers. Meditations, dedicated to the master best known for his more than 2,000 paintings of squares. Curated by Nicholas Fox Weber in collaboration with the Josef and Anni Albers Foundation, the exhibition brings together twenty-nine rarely exhibited works from public and private collections across Europe and the United States. Within the eighteenth-century villa, the display invites slow observation: only with time do the colors seem to shift, advance and recede, turning painting into an experience of silence and concentration.

Milan – Piero Portaluppi

Following the donation to FAI of the entire holdings of the Piero Portaluppi Foundation, the architect's archive has found a new home in a dedicated space on the top floor of Villa Necchi Campiglio, one of his best-known projects. The visit now includes three permanent rooms of furniture and drawings, along with a temporary exhibition renewed each year. The first, Piero Portaluppi: l'arte del disegno (until October 18, 2026), displays 44 drawings: from youthful caricatures to mature designs, down to the furnishing details found in Villa Necchi itself.
