Velarca is open to the public every day except non-holiday Mondays and Wednesdays, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Combined Entrance: Villa del Balbianello + Velarca
Two guided visits per day: one in the morning starting at 10:00 AM and one in the afternoon starting at 2:00 PM, each lasting approximately 3 hours. The tour includes transportation by taxi boat and a guide. The meeting point and conclusion of the tour are at Villa del Balbianello.
Combined entrance: Villa del Balbianello garden + Velarca
Self-guided visit of the garden of Villa del Balbianello and the Velarca. Boat service is not included. To reach the Velarca from Villa del Balbianello, you can walk along the Green Way of Lake Como to Ossuccio (about 30 minutes on foot), or drive approximately 3 km. Parking is available at the car park in front of the Velarca.
Located near Villa del Balbianello, the Velarca can be reached by lake via taxi boat or on foot along the Greenway — a pleasant walk suitable for all ages and seasons.
By Car
From Milan: approximately 1 hour and 9 minutes (72.4 km) via A9/E35 and SS340.
Head to the Green Way Parking in Ossuccio, Via Statale 3, then continue on foot.
By Train
Take a Trenord train from the Milan line and get off at Como Lago station.

The guided tour has a fixed starting time and cannot be postponed. Please make sure to plan your trip accordingly to arrive at Villa del Balbianello on time.
