Not far from Turin, on the Monviso’s backdrop, there’s a stunning, imposing medieval fortress. Tales of chivalry and precious frescos will make your visit unforgettable. The castle is open from the end of February to December. Guided tours or ordinary entrance available. Don’t miss a visit to the bookshop where you can buy picnic baskets and enjoy your lunch in the garden.

Opening times

Castello della Manta is open to the public from Wednesday to Sunday with the following opening hours:

From 14 February to 2 June
Open from 10:00 to 18:00
From 4 June to 31 August
Open from 11:00 to 19:00
From 3 September to 2 November
Open from 10:00 to 18:00
From 5 November to 14 December
Open from 10:00 to 17:00

Getting here

By car
Motorway A6 Torino-Savona, exit Marene, continue towards Savigliano and Saluzzo. From here follow the signs for Manta.

By train
Manta railway station is connected to Turin by regional trains (SFM Line 7) and fast regional trains from the stations of Torino Porta Nuova and Torino Porta Susa in the direction of Cuneo, with train change at Savigliano. At Savigliano station you can use the trains of the Arenaways line, in the direction of Cuneo, with a stop at Manta station.

In the period from 8th June to 30th August, the Arenaways line does not run on Saturday, Sunday and 15 August.

Accessibility

Visitors with disabilities and, when applicable, their caregiver have free access, in accordance with M.D. 507/97 updated to M.D. 13/2019 and L.104/92.

A reduced ticket is required in case of guided tours, events and other additional services.

Guide dogs and therapy dogs with a training certificate for assistance to persons with disabilities are allowed, always on a leash, both in the Park and inside the Castle.

Good to know

Comfortable shoes are recommended.

Dogs are always welcome in the Park, but must be kept on a leash at all times. To ensure the protection and preservation of the interiors of Castello della Manta and its collections, only guide dogs and assistance dogs with certificates for accompanying people with disabilities are allowed inside.
