Located inside the Valley of the Temples, Kolymbethra Garden is a shaded corner of paradise, where centuries-old olive trees prosper and where the citrus fruits flood the Valley of the Temples with their fragrances. An exceptional garden, where nature is merged with history. You can enjoy a walk on your own or opt for one of our wonderful experiences.

Opening times

The Kolymbethra Garden is open to the public every day at the following times:

From October 1st to 22nd: from 10:00 to 18:00.
From October 23rd to November 5th: from 10:00 to
17:00.
November and December: from 10:00 to 16:00.

Entry half an hour before the site closes.The timetable may vary in case of events.

Tickets

  • Reduced (aged 6-18): €2
  • Children aged 0-5: free entry
  • Students (aged 19-25): €5
  • Family: €15 for 2 adults and 2 or more children (6-18 years of age)
  • INTO members, FAI members, those with a disability + 1 companion: free entry

In order to visit the Garden, the purchase of an access ticket to the Valley of the Temples is mandatory.

Getting here

The Kolymbethra Garden is located inside the Valley of the Temples. The nearest entrance is Porta Quinta. If you are by car, there is a wide toll parking.

By Bus
You can take the bus number 1 and 2 from the train station (Piazza Guglielmo Marconi) or number 3 (Via Vittorio Emanuele). The bus stop is “Templi Porta V” and it’s 400 mt from the Valley entrance. It takes 20/25 minutes.
Agrigento is well connected by train from Palermo and Caltanissetta or by bus from Catania and other cities.

Guided tours are available with prior booking for groups (maximum 50 people) in Italian, English, French, German and Spanish> €50.00 per tour guide.

Parking

The Valley of the Temples offer several opportunities of toll parking. The nearest is Porta V.

Shopping

At Kolymbethra Garden you can find our famous marmalades. We produce marmalade of blood orange, blond and bitter, lemon, bergamots.You can find local handicrafts, gifts and typical food products from all over Sicily.

Purchases from the bookshop make a tangible contribution to supporting the work of FAI.

Pic nic

The Kolymbethra Garden is the perfect place for a pic-nic.
We offer 60 seats with three slot times (at 12:15, 13:15 and 14:15). Take a rest from the Valley of Temple and enjoy your lunch with us. You can have your pocket-lunch or reserve it with us.

Accessibility

Visitors with disabilities and, when applicable, their caregiver have free access, in accordance with M.D. 507/97 updated to M.D. 13/2019 and L.104/92.

A reduced ticket is required in case of guided tours, events and other additional services.

Guide dogs and therapy dogs with a training certificate for assistance to persons with disabilities are allowed, always on a leash.

Giardino della Kolymbethra is accessible to persons with intellectual disability thanks to the “Bene FAI per tutti” project in collaboration with L’Abilità.

The paths are in clay, but they allow the transit of wheelchairs and therefore they allow a partial visit to the garden (the valley floor of the garden is level). The visit is upon reservation on tel. 335-1229042, in order to arrange access from the North entrance of the Garden. Persons with disabilities must always be accompanied by their caregivers.
