At 30 km from Garda’s lake and not far from the Trento’s province, the Castle of Avio is a majestic circuit of towers and crenelated walls in a fortress complex conceived for the strategic control of the valley of the River Adige, but also a lush garden and a treasure trove of valuable, vibrant "Giotto-esque" pictorial cycles dedicated to love and war. Open from February to December, you can visit it on your own or through a guided tour and enjoy a typical lunch or wine tasting at the end of the visit.
The Castle of Avio is open to the public with the following opening hours:
Wednesday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Last admission at 4 p.m.)
In order to book and to verify special openings and closures, please select "Plan your visit".
