An intact piece of the Umbrian countryside in the center of Assisi. A place of harmony and silence at the foot of the great Basilica of St Francis of Assisi; a walk through this landscape becomes an inner journey – one that inspired Michelangelo Pistoletto to create a stunning work of land art: the “Third Paradise” - 121 olive trees arranged in a double row to form three large, tangential circles.
Available guided tour, thematic tour, olive oil tasting and production as well as a visit on your own.

From October 1st to January 8th from Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 4pm (last admission at 2pm).
Closed on Mondays and December 24-25 and January 1, 2023.
Bosco di San Francesco will open to public on July 8. For safety reasons, it will only be possible to walk on the path from the Church to Santa Croce.

By car
From the E45 Cesena-Orte highway: follow the signs for Assisi (SS 75), exit Ospedalicchio Sud (SR 147), continue on Via Campiglione - SR 147, turn left on Via San Vittorino and continue until the signs for the car parks at the Benedictine Complex of Santa Croce, in the navigator set the Parking of Santa Croce - Via San Vittorino.
On foot
Main entrance, specially marked, from the square of the Upper Basilica of San Francesco.
Guided tours for groups and special visits are available, in Italian and foreign languages, upon reservation.Discounted rates for groups of at least 15 (with guided tour) or 20 paying people.

Recommended car parks in Assisi: “Giovanni Paolo II” and “San Giacomo” car parks.Parking for cars on Via San Vetturino at the Benedictine complex of Santa Croce. Parking for buses and coaches at the start of Via San Vetturino.
In the Bookshop at the Benedictine Complex of Santa Croce, discover the FAI products, you can also buy extra virgin olive oil from the Bosco di San Francesco.
There is a fully equipped picnic area, with the option to reserve tables.
Osteria del Mulino
The evocative setting of the woods and olive groves of the FAI - Bosco di San Francesco houses an ancient mill transformed into a restaurant. At the Osteria del Mulino you can enjoy an interesting and appetizing selection of Umbrian cuisine recipes.
From Tuesday to Sunday: 9am - 2,30pm
Visitors with disabilities and, when applicable, their caregiver have free access, in accordance with M.D. 507/97 updated to M.D. 13/2019 and L.104/92.
A reduced ticket is required in case of guided tours, events and other additional services.
Guide dogs and therapy dogs with a training certificate for assistance to persons with disabilities are allowed, always on a leash, both in the Park and inside the Church.
Bosco di San Francesco is accessible to persons with intellectual disability thanks to the “Bene FAI per tutti” project in collaboration with L’Abilità.
For persons with reduced mobility: difficult access to the property.
